Promissary Note

Does a Promissary Note (for repayment of a loan) need to be notarized when signed or just signed?

S T O P ! ! ! Run...do not walk to your nearest attorney. Never, never, never, notarize or witness a promissory note. Under Florida law, any person who does is legally just as responsible as the maker of the note.

This is a very important question. If you are not sure of the right way to execute a note, I believe that it should not be executed without the advice of an attorney. A simple mistake now can cost thousands of dollars later.
