Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Can a property management company take an condo owners quarterly dues payment that was to be applied to this year's 1st Quarterly dues and apply them to a "prior to 2009" condo association dues debt that I the owner had no idea about and that the said property management company is unable to disclose when the debt was due and charge back interest when this was the first notification of the said debt? What law protects me from this activity?

Look at the condo documents to see if this is appropriate. Get an explanation of the debt. See a lawyer who does condo law. Want to know the law?
