Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

How do I prove I don't owe?

To my knowledge, I paid a settlement amount on a credit card, which was higher than the credit limit. Now, three years later I'm being taken to small claims court for four times the difference between the settlement amount paid and the balance owed at the time of payment. Should I request an itemized debit/credit statement of account and copies of disclosure/agreement at time of card issuance prior to Pretrial Conference or wait to see what the Attorney brings? If requesting prior to Pretrial Conference, should I address request to Attorney and copy Court, or leave Court out of it?
