Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I put my jewelry up for collateral on a promisorry note. this was done with persons i had known for 45 years. the note was paid off within weeks. after numerous phone calls - years (5). they finally told me wednesday on the phone that they sold most of it to pay their debts. i have their voice recorded message on my phone telling me that. i have all the legal documentaton on everything. (it was done by a corporate attorney) i feel that they should be charged with 2nd degree grand theft. i'm 61 years old and i really need someone to help me. i have fallen on hard times and nearing retirement age. i really need some kind of financial security back-up in order to be able to live on social security- please give me advice on how to begin getting my property back.

You should sue them for the amount of the jewelry they stole. How much is owed to you? You can try the criminal avenue but you have a better chance I believe of getting your money if you file suit. Feel free to check out my website www.behrenlaw.com.
