Raw sewage flooded new home

March 25, 2005

Our brand new $400,00.00 home in Fishhawk Ranch subdivision is making my family sick. A few days after we moved in, there was a flood of raw sewage from the development which encompassed most of the living area and yard. Inland Homes made a minor effort to clean up the mess by removing the carpet five weeks after the flood. There was pink and green mold growing up the walls. Our house and boxes of personal belongings were soaked in human feces. It has been three months and my family is sick all the time. Our dog died of a bacterial infection. I believe it is because of the air quality. I have a copy of the document containing the results of tests that Inland did of the soil and air which indicate high degrees of mold and bacteria. Yet Inland Homes says that it is safe to live in. Our life savings has gone into the down payment and we cannot afford to relocate.
