Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I received a call from a collections agency stating that I owed money to a local hospital in Florida for services rendered. I inquired as to the date of service and was told it was from November and December. I advised the collections company that I was not in the hospital during that time. They advised me it was from the year 2003. What is my liability for a bill that was submitted to an insurance company that we no longer use? Also, when I pulled my credit report this was never listed on the reports.
