Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I received a letter from Hayt, Hayt & Landau, P.L. on behalf of North Star Acquisitions regarding an old debt. It doesn't state exactly what the debt is from, but it has to be over 10 years old. Is this legal? Can they garnish wages? I don't have any outstanding credit cards now, but I had one years ago. I pay all my debt now, but I don't have anything left over to pay this if it is legal. What can I do?
