If they do not have a Judgement against form the court - pay absolutely NOTHING. They probably have realized their mistake in not filing with the insurance company on time and did not file within the five year period. If you pay the time will begin to toll again in which case they will file for a judgment. ON THE OTHER HAND, if they have a judgment, contact their charity department and ask for a reduction or allow you to make a token payment to remove it.
