received notice to apear in court

They sent[ Chase] a police officer at my place of employment to hand deliver the court notice.my boss had to call me to the office to receive it. There were several other people in the lobby and all observied this action.Some said that thay were sorry to hear the problem I had .I just got this job in feb.and don't or did'nt want my boss or the costumers to no I have any problems like this.Can they do this? why not deliver at my home? I have court date 7/20/ 09
