Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I Received A Summons To Appear On April 21st. 2010 At 9:00 am. For A Credit Card Debt. The Thing Is, I'm In Bankruptcy. I Have All My Attorney's Information, And I've Written Down All My Expenses. My Bankruptcy Should Be Filed Sometime In May. My Question Is, Will This Creditor Still Expect Me To Pay This Credit Card Debt, Or Pursue It, Even Though I'm In Bankruptcy? I Honestly, Have No Money Too Pay Them.

They can bother you and file suit until you actually file the bankruptcy petition. Once you file, they can no longer proceed with the case and you should be able to discharge the debt during the bankruptcy.
Best thing to do at this time is to answer the complaint so no default will be entered against you. Unless you know for sure the amount claimed is correct, deny the amount owed and what ever else you can in good faith.
