Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I have recently been harrassed at my job by a collection agency stating that they have a case against me for an online payday loan. I finally got them to tell me that the loan was taken out in September of this year. I have not taken out a payday loan in the past 3 years but I believe that my ex-husband may have taken out this loan. I asked them if they could give me the information about the amount, which online payday loan company it was, and what bank this loan went to and they could not provide that information nor would they fax me any paperwork regarding the same, stating that I needed to go to the local courthouse and plead my case there as they were going to have me arrested. How do I find out where this money came from, went to and if this is my ex-husband doing this, how do I prosecute?
