Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I have a rental property and have an equity loan. I'm making the mortgage payments to another institution. I have been in an accident and can't go back to work until August 2010. I'm have been late since August 2009. Can they legally make me sell the property?

You are a 6 months behind in payments. You can't just not pay. An accident is not a legal excuse. They can get a judgment and they can then force a sale.

You may want to refinance to get more money to pay the mortgage until you are able to return to work. Otherwise, you may consider selling the property. Want to know the law?
