Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I rented a car for a neighbor as a favor. I signed the papers and the rental car was in my name. She originally paid for the days that she was staying but then she stayed almost a week later and the bill was over 800 dollars. I couldn't afford to pay that and she said that she had it covered once she got her check. Long story short that was over 3 months ago and my bank acct is now closed and sent to collections. I've asked her numerous times to pay this and she keeps saying she will. Now she has changed her phone number and will not answer her door when I come. I need to know can I get a court order to get the payment.

You need to sue her in small claims court.
