Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Responsibility for deceased spouse's credit cards debt

My husband died suddenly. Leaving about $5000 in credit card debt. Do I have to pay my deceased spouse's credit card debt, if there is no money in his estate and I do not have the money to pay it?

If you were jointly responsible for the debt, then you are liable for the debt. If debt was in his name alone, then you are not liable for the debt.
