Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

i just got served to go to court for a pretrial in November for an old credit card that my last payment was 2 years ago. First I will be answering the claim admitting the fact that I owned a credit card with this bank but I will be denying the fact that I owe this amount to this particular collector company..Is this ok???

second: I am a stay at home mom, pregnant with my second child, the only income is from my husband, he brings home $437.00 after taxes. So, since my husband is the only one working and make such little money can I claim it as an exemption? If yes, how can I do it?thank you for your answer and your time!

No, it is best to deny you owe the money alleged in the complaint. If it is a collection agency and not the original creditor, you may have defenses to the claim.
