I signed a contract for a cat from another party, I have paid half of my agreement and my husband lost his job, I am continue to make smaller amounts on the agreement due to financial difficulty the other party is threatening to sue me over 300.00 what do I do

I do not understand how you paid off your agreement but still owe money. Nevertheless, if you in fact owe money, continue to make the payments you can. It would seem foolish for someone to sue you over $300 if you are doing the best you can. Just continue the payments. If the other party sues you, there is not much anyone can do to stop him/her.
