Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

i did my sister and her husband a favor buy getting them two credit cards one for littman jewlers and one from pc richard and son in new jersey, when i went for vac in 2007. Kow i havn't recieved a bill.The cards are in my name.I tried to buy a house and thats when i found out that they havn't be making any payments.I then got in contact with my mother to see if she can go to the house and see if she can find a bill to send to me.then i got in contact with my sister.she said it was not her problem that it is her husband problem. i have tried calling him on his cell but he won't pick up. my sister send me one of the bills the pc richard and son one they have me in a 2,717.55 debt.And i don't know how much the other bill is because the refuse to send me the other bill.what legal actions can i take to get them to pay these bill so it can stop affecting my credit. Thank u for your time. I live in florida and they live in new jersey

Your recourse is to sue the person(s) you believe owe you the money. Try small claims court. Based upon your statement, I am not sure where jurisdiction is proper -- could be FL or NJ.

Get out of this as fast and best you can!!!!!!!!! Loaning money to friends and family is bad, but giving them credit cards in your name...??? omg. Live and learn, of course.
