Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
My sister lives in Orlando Florida & was recently widowed. She has a car that her husband put up for collateral on a personal loan. She is unable to continuing paying for this car due to financial difficulties now that her husband has left her with only her diability income & social security.
My question is....can she stop paying for the car, have it taken back by the lien company & be free of this debt?
Thank you

If she is not a party to the loan agreement, yes. This is general legal information based
on the facts described in your inquiry.
