Small Claims Court Question
My wife has a court date coming up for a credit card debt that is 7200 dollars. I thought small claims court was for 5000 or less?

It is, but remember that the $5,000 includes only the balance on the card, not things like attorneys' fees and some types of interest.
The same judge probably handles both small claims and county court ($5000 to $15,000), so it may not matter, except that the rules change slightly in county court. The judge will just switch it to county court, not dismiss it.
