When does the S.O.L. begin?

I became seriously delinquent on my car payments in August of 1999. My car was repo'd in October 1999. Does the SOL begin when the car was repo'd, sold, first delinqent payment, or date of last payment. I am scheduled for court in June of 2004. I am trying to avoid a judgment. Please advise. Thank you.

Thae latter of the due date, last payment, or written acknowledgment of the debt.
