Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

My son went to an ER in Gulf Breeze, FL back in 2008. He was 14. He is now 18 and checked his credit report for the first time. It shows a charge off from the hospital. He was a minor at the time and I am his father and the responsible party, not him. Can they legally send it to collections and what do I need to do to get it off of his credit report. Thanks.

He is not liable for the obligation. You should contact the hospital and credit agency

to report the error.

If they don't remove it from his credit report - think about a lawsuit against them.

You need to contact the credit agencies and dispute the debt. See my website for a sample letter. If they faill to take off the debt, contact me. This would be a violation of the FCA. See www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com
