Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

When my son was 16 he had his first job at a brand new chain restaurant in Florida. Bank of American came in and opened checking accounts for all new employees--including my son even though he was a minor. Within months he apparently incurred NSF fees. I didn't know about this until he just received a letter from an attorney demanding payment of the $181.56 amount for the fees. My son is now 21 years old--the NSF issue happened over 4 years ago. My questions are: isn't there a statute of limitations, and can he be held liable for this debt since it occured when he was a minor? (No one else was on the acct with him.. it was his alone.) How do I handle this? Thanks.
