Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Can a spouse be held liable for not helping with debt
I have a spouse who has left me and taken our daughter with her. I am not guilty of any criminal behavior or adultry. She has helped get us into debt to where they are ready to foreclose on our house and I already lost my car. She is partially responsible for the debt. She has not yet filed for divorce. Is she liable in any way if I lose the house because she wouldn't help out? Plus do I have any way of saving OUR stuff from being removed from OUR house when I'm away at work. (i.e. a restraining order or something)

1...did she sign the mortgage note. If she did not sign the note or mortgage the companies will not go after her. 2. A divorce court may order her to contribute to those debts but I am unsure.
