Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
My spouse opened up 2 credit cards using my information and put herself on as a authorize user without my knowledge last August. I became aware of this a month later through my credit karma account. One card has been reported to the fraud department and documents have been sent to me. One document "Acknowledge of Responsibility" needs to be filed out by my soon to be ex wife however she refuses to do so.. She states I benefitted from them which I have not. What is my course of action?

Nothing really. The fraud is actually between her and the issuer. You should be off the hook for the charges. However, you should know that benefitting has a very broad meaning. If she used the card to put gas in her car, you benefitted. On the other hand, if she used the card to buy her boyfriend a watch, you didn't. If she bought your son a watch though, ,you did.
