Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I'm in the state of Florida. I accepted a creditors judgment against me and agreed to the 6% interest and the 20 year statute of limitations. The plaintiff mailed me the financial packet and I disclosed my financial responsibilities and personal information. I also stated that I was "head of household". Today I found out that a "writ of Garnishment " was issued to my employer and they garnished my paycheck. I am the sole income provider for my family which includes my wife and two small children under 9 years old. I am filing the exemtion form with the clerk of courts to show I am "head of household". I make more than 500$ per week and provide more than half of the financial support for my family. I also did not agree to have my wages garnished. Once i send the exemtion form to the palintiff and the garnishee(job) how long will it take for my employer to release my funds back to me? Or will the plaintiff actually agree to a hearing and face possible fines for wrongful garnishment

Not sure that this will work for you. YOu may have to request a hearing yourself and bring the plaintiff in to show that you are head of household and what your income is. This may or may not allow you to be exempt.
