stature of limitations

All my credit card debts on my credit report states last activity 2000 Is this past the Florida stature of limitation and can it be removed from my report.I have been a resident of Florida a year.

The statute of limitations does not set forth the time negative credit information may remain on your credit report.

The statute of limitations is a law which addresses how long a credit card has to take you to court and try to collect on the debt.

The FCRA allows derogatory information to be on your credit report for up to 7 years -- even if they can't collect on the debt.
