Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Statute of limitations on credit card debt

It has been more than 3 years since I paid on one of my credit cards, they did contact and speak to me about a year ago (many times). I coouldn't afford the settlement amount they offered. I have not heard form them at all since then.(about 1 year ago) Is there a statute of limitations on my debt with them? Or would I be responsible for this forever?

Thanks, --name remove

Re: Statute of limitations on credit card debt

In Florida you have a 5 year statute of limitations. When that expires is normally after you went into default.
