What is he ststute of Limitations on Credit card
I have received a letter asking for $1400.00 on a credit card that I haven't had since 1991. This card has not been on even my credit report the last 6 years.

5 years from the due date or last payment or written acknowledgement of the debt. If you are being dunned for a debt that is now barred by the s/l, you may have a claim against the collector for violations of the FDCPA.

Statute in Florida is 5 years from the date of breach. That is a question of law but is normally 5 years from the date of last payment.
