Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Stupidly I cosigned on a car loan for a "friend". she defaulted on the loan & the car was repo'd. I had to pay the balance of the loan,as I knew I would but my "friend" promised she'd pay me back yeah right! She has not & will not do I have any recourse? Is it against the law for me to put an ad in our local newspaper announcing that she owes me money and will not pay?

You can sue her to recover the balance you paid on her behalf. That might be a better course of action than putting an ad in the paper.
