Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I am being sued by an accountant who is attempting to collect a debt owed to him by my late husband (Who owned a business (LLC) that I had no ownership or partnership of. Can he collect?

Unless the creditor has a contract. note, or other document which was signed by you, generally you cannot be held liable. Perhaps, the creditor is suing the estate of your late husband. Regardless, you should demand clear documentation evidencing personal

contractual obligation.

Don't pay anything. If you do, you are on the hook. This is just a ploy to get you to start making a payment so that they can come after you. Just ignore them.
