Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
I'm being sued from a credit card company. The final hearing is this week. What happens once they get a judgement against me? I am unable to get to the hearing.
I have struggled to pay my bills, offered them a settlement twice which they turned down. I don't own any property and I"m not currently working. The only income I have is SSI for my sons and child support.

They will try to collect, but your assets are exempt. Let them know.
Hire a consumer lawyer to represent you at the final hearing. You do not have to be there. For a consumer lawyer in your area, go to
