Summons

Stopped paying credit card, laid off in 11/08 tried to set up payments 25.00 a month 11,000. bill they said no so i sent nothing. I got served what do I do now?

You need to respond to the summons and complaint or you will be in default and the credit card comp will obtain a judgement against you. The question is can you win the case or at least negotiate it down from 11K. Since I do not know who the credit card comp is or if it is a collection agency, and what its claim is, I cannot recommend anything to you. You need to give more information: who is the plaintiff, how old is the debt, what was attached to the complaint, etc.
