We purchased our house from my father who had a second mortgage which reduced the extra we were financing to pay off bills. He said that he would pay us back in a couple of months when his other house sold. Since then he has not and will not talk to me. What options do Ihave? It is for $20000.

Probably, the only option you have is to take him to circuit court. You may consider using a lawyer, since the amount involved is significant.
