Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I surrendered my vehicle because I could not make the payments. The finance company advised I was responsible for the deficiancy balance of $19K. However, they never sent me the paper work on the date and place where the vehicle would be sold and how much it went for at auction. I live in Florida. When I asked them to send me the paper work they advised that they do not do this. I do not believe this is legal.

Have you checked the records at the courthouse to see if there is a deficiency judgment against you. Normally this would be filed and perhaps since it becomes public record they do not have to advise you. Was this in Florida?
