Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

i have had the threat of a lien being placed on my home for work that was performed without my knowledge or instruction or contract .how can this be possible for a maintenance guy to do this without paperwork from me of some kind ie a contract or instruction ?its madnesss and he keeps threatening me with it

If you have had the maintenance guy perform services for you, he can potentially get a lien on the property if he does not get paid.
