Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

threatening and giving information to secondary party

I joined a credit protection plan, and never received the information or cancelation information. Got bill from a bank and they said they would take care of it. Several times later i was still receiving bills and was told to pay it even if I dont owe them money. Then about six months later they called my house and told my father(secondary party) about the situation and got him to pay the bill. When confronted with this supervisor said ok I did not really have a bill and said they would take it off im still receiving bills. My father has medical problems and if he gets upset he can die this upset him is this legal what they did.
