Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
Threatening repossession of building
I purchased a building from a friend of a friend. To make a long story short, I paid 200.00 at a football game, and the agreed upon price was 900.00. To make a long story short, I have been asking for a contract. I was told one price, payments 100.00 a month. I never received a contract. Per my records, the building is paid in full. I received an email today stating they were coming to repossess this building. Can they do this? I am an honest person, and knew better to pay a thing without a contract, but they kept harrassing me. Can you please offer any advice in regards to this? I sure do not want to wake up with them in my yard.

Re: Threatening repossession of building
You make a long story short, you can't sell a building in Florida without a written contract.
