Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Transferring a debt from my Credit report to my Ex-Husband's

In my divorce decree I was granted $1400 from my ex-husband for credit card bills to be paid to me within 30 days from the divorce. That was a year ago and I have since filed a motion for contempt. However, I was also ''Held harmless'' of a debt from Ford Credit in the amount of $5700.00 and the judge stated that it would be my Ex's responsibility to pay it. However, this debt is on my credit report as a charge off and I need to know how I can get this debt removed from my credit report and placed on his social security number. This debt is ruining my credit and I have no idea how to go about correcting it. Please let me know how I can get my credit straightened out, I am trying to get pre-approved for a home loan prior to selling my house. Thank you.

You cannot get it transferred. Your only out is to pay it and seek reimbursement. Good luck.

If the debt was yours, you will not get it removed. There seems to be no error.
