Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I am tring to get back money I spend on friend, but i dont have his current address, Can i still take him to small claim court ?

He was my roommate with two other guys. We use to spend money for commonly shared things and do accounts once in 4 or 5 months. It was all regular till the last accounts, now he is no more my roommate and he is denying to pay the left overs. His argument is I unnecessorily spend the money. But last statement contains his share of apartment rent, a camera i bought for him, a shared trip and some grocerry. I have most of the credit card bills. Can I sue him, what should i do as i dont have his curent address. He can be reached by cell phone and email though. Please advice

Ypu need his address and then sue him in small claims court if it is under $5000. There are many services that locate people for a fee if you cannot get him yourself. Certainly a mutual friend must know where he is. Want to know the law?
