truck repo

i lost my job and had my truck repoed.now the bank is suing me for the cost of the truck......since this has happen I have gotten married and have two cars that are in my wife's name.can they take my auto mobiles from us.I am to reply in writing in 20 days and plan to offer them $50 a month payments for the balance(9,000) I know this is very little for the amt I owe but it is all I can do I own nothing in my name.can you tell me what they can do or what i might can do to keep this from causing my family a disaster

The creditor can only reach your non-exempt assets. If your wife is not the debtor the creditor cannot reach her assets.

Your wages are probably exempt from garnishment because you probably qualify as 'head of household'.

Do not agree or sign anything until you follow the instructions of the next paragraph.

In any event you should consult with a competent creditors' rights atty.
