Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I had a truck stored at a storage facility and got behind in monthly payments. The storage folks wanted to auction my truck, but instead, I had it reposessed without breaking the peace. There was no breaking and entering as the gate code worked. We did cut the lock off an outside gate to get the vehicle out. Do I need some major help now? Is this strictly a civil matter?
