Collectors are ruthless. If you have an account that only contains disability income, then they can not take that or any pension income, social security. However, if you have funds that are considered from earnings then they can attach however, they must have a judgment against you and a writ of garnishment from the court. Did you have a trial? Were you ever called into court and did not appear. You can appeal any ruling they obtained.

They cannot garnish without a judgment and court order. Were you sued?
