Unauthorized credit check

I live in Texas and a company in Florida that I'd never done any sort of business with ran my credit four times over a three month period without my authorization. Do I have any legal recourse?

You may, under federal law. However someone may be trying to cash in on your identity, so it's worthwhile finding out why they made a credit check.
