Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Upaid Homeowners Association Dues.

I received a letter from a Law firm hired by my homeowners association stating their intentions to foreclose on my home because I am behind on HomeOwners association fees. I cannot afford to pay the entire amount at one time, but I can pay in monthly installments until the entire balance is satisfied. Can I lose my home over this matter?

Re: Upaid Homeowners Association Dues.

Florida has a Homestead protection law so you cannot lose your home. Read your documents regarding what happens when fees are not paid. You will probably be suspended from use of common areas.
