Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

verbal contract

I had lent a large amount of my to close friend at the time, and we agreed that he would pay me back. Then he stated that he would pay me in payments. To this date I have not recieved and monies from him, and he had disregarded all the letter written to him.
