i have a wage garnishment and i just found out my employer stopped paying it a few months ago

what can happen to me?

There is not enough information to answer your question adequately. It would partially depend on the reason they stopped paying. However, if you still owe the debt the judgment creditor can still take steps to recover the amount of the judgment plus reasonable expenses.

If your employer stopped paying the garnishment I am curious why you didn't notice it for a "few months" you should have noticed an increase in your paycheck. Now, if the employer stopped paying the garnishment but continued to withhold from your check that could be a problem for them.
