Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
i wanted to write you to get some advice with something that i think need legal attention. Well last year i rented a car for my brother and neighbor because my dumb ass was trying to be nice. They were giving me the money weekly to put in the account then they stop saying that they would pay it themselves. Well they strewed me over. First off, the rental people say i owe them $2,890 for the car im guessing they stop paying the weekly pay and they had it for 6 months. I owe the bank $1700 for the overdraft the rental people did and i owe $410 for a traffic ticket i never knew about until this year. When i confronted them they tried to say i stole the money when i make my own money and have a seperate account with another bank, now why would i wanna strew myself up thats crazy. Then i found out they were doing illegal things and when the rental people came looking for the car they hid it until i said i was gonna report it stolen. I dont know what else to do, im 25 & a single mom in college with a 3 year old and need every bit of my income. What should i do to solve this problem?

sorry to hear of this. You are unfortunately responsible for the debt since you signed your name to it. I suggest you file a small claims suit against the brother and the neighbor to retrieve your loss.
