Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida
My wife (she is Thai) had rented a car from Enterprise. The line was out the door, so they were rushing everyone out, because it was closing time. They were basically saying "Here sign here and here are your keys". Never asked for for "adding additional ins. or theft ins of any kind. We were later rear-ended by another driver who had no ins. He was sighted. Then, come to find out, he had no ins and now we are being sued for the damages to the rental car and my ins. says they're not covering it either. Now, we have debt collectors calling and writing us that Enterprise is suing us for the damages. Are we liable?

Yes you are.
Why doesn't your insurance cover car rental? Most do. If you paid by credit card, your card may have coverage.
