what will happen when I go to court?

I have to appear in court on August 24,2005 for an oustanding credit card debt. Capitol One Bank would not work with me on payments, even when I explained to them that I had been diagnosed with breast cancer. They kept calling me and telling me to borrow the money from someone. I have been so stressed out because of my medical problems that I would not take their calls anymore. I basically told the last representative that called me that I was fighting for my life and I did not need the added stress they were putting on me by calling me everyday and harrassing me. What will most likely happen when I go before the judge? I have completed my cancer treatments and will bestarting a job in about a week, and will be able to make some type of arrangements to pay back this debt ($1300.00).

I will not guess what will happen. I can suggest:

1. Do not make any payments. 2. Do not speak with the collector. 3 If you are sued, immediately upon receipt of the summons and complaint, consult with a competent attorney. 4. Settlement of the account is usually easier once it is in the hands of an attorney.
