Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

3 adults were staying at a golf resort for the weekend when after leaving the resort bar (it was closing for the night) decided to grab a golf cart parked in a common area to take back to the resort villa they were staying in. Upon leaving, one of the adults fell out in an ajoining common area after about 30 yds of travel. The two other adults turned around to pick him up when the bartender confronted the 3 adults to say the golf cart was his and not the resorts. The 3 adults gave the golf cart to the bartender and proceeded to walk back to the villas. The following day the 3 adults learn that the bartender is looking to file a police report and press charges against the 3 adults for stealing his golf cart. Cops show up to get the story/statement but no arrests made. Keys were in the cart; No damage to the cart; Cart never went any further than the second ajoining common area; Villa is about 1/3 mile away. Is there really a case against the 3 adults?

Probably not and I wouldn't worry about it too much. If they do charge the adults, then I would get an attorney and fight it.
